One thing we're absolutely dedicated to at Home Run Soul Club is bringing you the very best venues for our Weekender.
We believe the spaces are just as important as the music. That's why we carefully select venues that showcase Manchester at its finest. Whether it's the atmospheric basement club space at Refuge (part of the Grade II-listed Kimpton Clocktower Hotel) for our Saturday night session, the grandeur of its Main Bar for our Sunday wind-down, where soaring ceilings and rich architectural details celebrate the city's industrial heritage, or the rooftop terrace at YES which has become the perfect setting for unforgettable Saturday afternoon sessions, every venue plays its part in creating the unique atmosphere that makes the Home Run Soul Club Weekender so special.
This year, we're delighted to announce another jewel in the Weekender crown.
Welcome to The Freemount!

Located on Manchester's iconic Oldham Street in the heart of the Northern Quarter, The Freemount recently moved into the legendary former Dry Bar building, a venue steeped in Manchester music history. Originally opened by Factory Records founder Tony Wilson in 1989, Dry Bar was a cornerstone of the city's cultural scene for almost three decades before closing its doors in 2017. The building has now been brought back to life by The Freemount team, preserving its spirit while creating something entirely fresh.
And yes, for those who remember the old Dry Bar, our Friday night event takes place in the private basement club space where the venue's toilets once stood. You can only imagine some of the stories those walls could tell.
Things have cleaned up though since then. The space has been completely transformed into a stylish, atmospheric basement bar that feels equally at home in Manchester or Manhattan. Original character sits alongside contemporary design, creating the perfect backdrop for what promises to be a very special opening night.
Expect exposed brickwork, classic tiled walls, expertly crafted drinks, an outstanding sound system and that unmistakable energy that only comes from being right in the centre of the Northern Quarter. It's intimate enough to create a real connection between the DJs and the dancefloor, yet spacious enough to give our Weekender the opening party it deserves.
We'll be sharing more details about the space and what we've got planned, but we're incredibly excited to reveal basement club space at The Freemount as the home of our Friday night launch party.
Right in the heart of one of the world's great music cities, this unique private space provides the perfect setting to kick off what we believe will be the best Home Run Soul Club Weekender yet.
