Home Run Soul Club's annual modern session is upon us - Bases Loaded!
Each year, the Home Run Soul Club team sets out on a quest to find Manchester city centre's finest emerging venue, one equipped with a sound system capable of honouring the music. We then invite our friends to showcase their best and most treasured modern soul records.
This year we're doing it again, and it's going to be something special! Here's the deets:
Location: House of Social - House of Social | Food Hall & Student Housing in Manchester 10 Coleman street, Manchester M1
Times: 1-7pm – Dayer session with enough time to get a few pints and a decent Sunday roast under your belt... and not miss your train home!
Door Tax: FREE (as always)
DJs:
Adam Leaver – Rookie Records extraordinaire, Adam is known for the depth and breadth of his collection with boundary pushing sounds that help keep the scene interesting.
Martin Haddock – Liverpool Weekender and Tuff Love final boss. Martin has played everywhere and rounds off his seemingly endless DJ travels with a home coming spot.
Brett Franklin – A looooong time friend of HRSC and its various guises, Brett has been playing records with us for decades (almost). In addition to DJs across Europe, regular spots in London and hosting his own jazz-rare groove evens in Sheffield, the man’s collection shan’t disappoint.
Finally, the bases will be covered by Home Run Soul Club Amigos, Jonny Mangas, Alex Johnson and Gary Bratchford, while Soul Brother Quinn is away fighting the good fight, north of the border.
See you there!
