We’re buzzing to announce that one of the guests playing June’s Home Run Soul Club is the wonderful Dab of Soul’s Chris Anderton!
Chris first discovered soul in the mid-80s by playing through his Dad’s record collection. By 1991 he was promoting soul nights at Bretby country club, which was one of the most influential venues of the 90s. A couple of years later he became resident at the amazing Albrighton events. Chris has guested regularly at events all over the world including the Nurenberg weekender, New Zealand weekender, Moving On Barcelona and some popular UK events too! More recently he has been co-promotor of the Dab of Soul events in Nantwich (which ran for 14 years) and the Llandudno weekender which is extremely popular.
Musically, Chris focuses on 70s/Crossover and classic Northern but also likes to throw a “surprise-drop” in now and again!
As well as collecting and playing, Chris has made around eighty trips to the US in search of vinyl and is the owner of Midas Touch Records.
